Indian Security Forces Detain Youth and Conduct Raids Across Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar: In a series of intensified operations across the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops have arrested a youth in Baramulla district and conducted multiple search operations throughout the region.

According to Kashmir Media Service, During a cordon and search operation at Eco Park Crossing in Baramulla, Indian forces apprehended Shakir Ahmad. Authorities allege that Ahmad was found with incriminating materials along with arms and ammunition, resulting in his detention under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA).

The security operations extended beyond Baramulla. In Kupwara district, troops uncovered a significant cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives in the Nangari forest area. Concurrently, extensive raids were carried out in Rajouri, Poonch, and Reasi districts, involving searches of homes and seasonal shelters used by the nomadic Gujjar community.

In a related security measure in Jammu city, police detained two drivers and seized two commercial passenger vehicles at a bus stand. Notably, both vehicles were identical in color and bore the same registration numbers, raising suspicions of regulatory violations or potential security concerns.
