Singapore: An Indian national has been charged with stealing goods valued at over INR 1,14,705 from five different stores at Changi Airport, according to court documents.
Singh Sagar, 37, appeared in court to face five charges of theft. The incidents reportedly occurred over a span of approximately three hours on March 23 in Terminal 3’s departure transit area.
The alleged thefts began at the WH Smith bookstore, where Singh is accused of stealing items valued at over INR 35,032, including three stationery sets and a power bank.
The spree allegedly continued at The Cocoa Trees candy shop, Discover Singapore souvenir store, Kaboom toy store, and Victoria’s Secret lingerie shop. Among the items reported stolen were four boxes of chocolates worth more than INR 15,160, various pieces of jewellery, t-shirts, watches, and a handbag valued at INR 8,616.04.
The case has drawn attention due to the rapid succession and variety of items involved in the alleged thefts. Legal proceedings are ongoing as Singh faces the Singaporean judicial system.
