Jammu: Indian forces have arrested two Kashmiri youth in the districts of Doda and Kupwara within the Indian-administered region of Jammu and Kashmir under the Public Safety Act (PSA).
According to reports from Kashmir Media Service, one of the detained individuals is Mohammad Rafi Sheikh, who resides in Phagsoo village located in the Chenab Valley of Doda district. Rafi has been moved to the District Jail Udhampur under the PSA.
Authorities claim that Rafi’s arrest was prompted by his alleged involvement in activities deemed anti-India and pro-freedom. The arrest was executed following the issuance of detention warrants by the district magistrate.
However, legal analysts highlight that Mohammad Rafi has gained prominence in recent years as a political figure and civic activist. His active engagement in political discussions and local demonstrations has established him as a significant presence in the region’s civic landscape.
