Srinagar, August 17, 2022 (PPI-OT):Indian Police chief in illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Dilbag Singh, has directed Indian troops, police and paramilitary personnel to intensify their cordon and search operations to suppress the Kashmiris’ resistance movement.
Director General Police, Dilbag Singh, passed these instructions during a joint security review meeting of police, army and paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) at District Police Office (DPO), Shopian, and a police spokesperson said. The DGP was accompanied by Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Armed J and K, S.J.M Gillani, and Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Kashmir Zone, Vijay Kumar.
Singh, the spokesperson said, directed the officers to revisit the security plans of their respective jurisdictions and to remain extra alert. He further said that the officers apprised the DGP regarding the prevailing situation in the district.
Pertinently, Indian troops, police and paramilitary personnel have already intensified their state terrorism in IIOJK since the repeal of the special status of IIOJK by Narendra Modi-led fascist government on August 05, 2019, making the life of the people a hell. During the cordon and search operations, which have become a routine matter, innocent people are killed, injured, arrested, and houses and other structures are destroyed by the forces’ personnel.
The communal Modi government under a new policy to punish the Kashmiris for their affiliation with the ongoing freedom movement is depriving the people of their accommodations by attaching their houses and other properties on false charges. However, Kashmir watchers and political experts say that despite using all kinds of brutal methods, New Delhi has failed to force the people of IIOJK to give up their just cause of carrying forward their struggle for securing freedom from the Indian illegal occupation.
Meanwhile, the Indian police, today (Wednesday), asked the people to install mandatory High Security Number Plate (HSNP) on their vehicles. The police in an advisory said all owners are requested to install HSNP on both front and rear of vehicles (in all the two wheelers also) warning that any non-compliance will lead to legal action including seizure of vehicle.
“Further all persons selling, renting or providing vehicles (two wheelers including) are also requested to verify credentials of such buyer and user from nearest police station before handing over vehicle,” the police said.
