Makkah: Over 1.8 million Muslims gathered at Maidan-i-Arafat today to perform Wuqoof-e-Arafat, the pivotal rite of Hajj, where the Imam of Masjid-e-Nabawi, Sheikh Ali Al-Hudhaify, delivered a sermon emphasizing unity among Muslims. According to Radio Pakistan, the Imam urged the faithful to fear Allah and pursue piety, highlighting Islam’s ability to unite people beyond borders, languages, and colors.

In his address from Masjid-e-Nimrah, Sheikh Al-Hudhaify described Hajj as a demonstration of one Ummah standing together before Allah, asserting that true honor is found in piety, sincerity, and Tawheed. He prayed for the unity, peace, and prosperity of the Muslim community worldwide, and for the safe return of pilgrims to their homes.

The Imam acknowledged the efforts of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in facilitating the pilgrimage. Following the sermon, pilgrims offered Zuhr and Asr prayers together and engaged in day-long supplications for the welfare of the Muslim Ummah. As the day concluded, they prepared to move to Muzdalifah for the next phase of their spiritual journey.
