IGP Islamabad Reviews Security at Police Lines Headquarters, Holds Open Court

Islamabad: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, conducted a review of security arrangements at the Police Lines Headquarters entry point, according to Islamabad Capital Police. Accompanied by senior officers, including DIG Headquarters Muhammad Atiq Tahir and AIG Logistics Abdul Haq Umrani, the IGP assessed the entry management system and other security measures in place.

During the visit, AIG Logistics briefed the IGP on current security protocols, and the IGP directed officers to ensure comprehensive security. This includes strengthening measures, thorough checks of individuals, and equipping officials with protective gear. The IGP emphasized regular inspections and visits to ensure adherence to these directives.

Following the security review, IGP Rizvi held an Open Court at the Central Police Office under the Open Door Policy, addressing concerns from citizens and police officers. The IGP underscored the importance of resolving public issues promptly and on merit, reinforcing that citizens are welcome to attend Open Courts.

IGP Rizvi instructed officers to resolve complaints within a set timeframe and required compliance reports. Additionally, he urged SDPOs and SHOs to adhere to public meeting hours and address grievances fairly. The IGP highlighted the significance of public-friendly initiatives and daily Open Courts in resolving citizen issues effectively.
