ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi has ordered the implementation of enhanced security measures following a comprehensive review of the law and order situation in the federal capital. In a meeting at the Central Police Office attended by senior officials, including DIG Islamabad, SSP CTD, and SSP Security Operations, the IGP instructed the use of all available resources to maintain peace and protect citizens’ lives and property.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the meeting focused on evaluating operational preparedness, counter-terrorism strategies, and security arrangements. The IGP emphasized the importance of implementing a foolproof security plan for Muharram-ul-Haram to ensure the peaceful conduct of religious gatherings and processions. Sensitive locations are to be closely monitored, and necessary measures completed promptly to maintain peace and order.

The IGP also highlighted the importance of effective traffic management and instructed police personnel to perform their duties professionally and courteously. He reaffirmed the commitment of the Islamabad Police to protect citizens, maintain peace, and uphold the rule of law.

In addition to security measures, the IGP held an open court session under the “Open Door Policy,” addressing concerns from citizens and police officers. He emphasized the prompt resolution of issues based on merit and law, encouraging citizens to attend the open court for assistance. The IGP directed officers to resolve complaints within the stipulated time and report to the Central Police Office.

The Islamabad Police continues to prioritize improving services for citizens, with daily open court sessions aimed at resolving public issues promptly and efficiently.
