Islamabad: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, has directed officers to maintain heightened vigilance during the month of Ramadan, particularly during Taraweeh and Fajr prayers. He conducted a review of security arrangements across the federal capital, focusing on areas with significant gatherings during prayer times.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the IGP personally inspected various sites, evaluating the deployment of police officers and personnel at worship places and sensitive locations. His visits included interactions with officers and personnel on duty, where he expressed appreciation for their work. Emphasizing the importance of creating a secure environment for citizens, he reiterated the need for effective and comprehensive security measures during Ramadan.

Personnel from the Islamabad Police are strategically positioned throughout the city to uphold law and order, with specific instructions to perform their duties with vigilance and professionalism. The IGP highlighted the dedication of the police force in safeguarding the lives and property of the public, utilizing all available resources to maintain peace.

In addition to security inspections, IGP Rizvi held an open court at the Central Police Office under the department’s open-door policy. This initiative allowed him to address issues faced by citizens and police officers directly, with immediate instructions issued for resolving these concerns. He underscored the significance of resolving citizen issues promptly and assured that his office remains accessible to anyone facing police-related problems.

The IGP stressed that the protection of citizens and the resolution of their issues remain paramount for the Islamabad Police, instructing officers to address complaints on merit within a specified timeframe and report back to the Central Police Office.
