IGP Islamabad Chairs Meeting on Police Welfare and Coordination


Islamabad: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, convened a high-level meeting involving senior officers of Islamabad Police and the National Police Foundation to discuss joint welfare initiatives aimed at improving police welfare and operational coordination.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, the meeting focused on collaborative welfare projects for police employees, including modern IT initiatives, as well as housing, educational, health, and welfare programs. The IGP underscored the importance of enhancing professional capabilities through effective use of technology and sustainable measures for the benefit of police personnel and their families. The meeting resolved to ensure future welfare projects are more effective and transparent to uplift the police force’s performance.



In a subsequent meeting with senior officers of Islamabad Police, including DIG Headquarters Muhammad Atique Tahir and DIG Security Rana Umar Farooq, the discussion centered on the overall security situation and operational activities. The meeting reviewed investigation matters, training measures, and the progress of policing services. Officers provided updates on their departments’ performance and the challenges faced. The IGP stressed the need for improved departmental coordination to enhance crime prevention and public service delivery, while agreeing on strategies and objectives for future initiatives.
