ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi provided a briefing to officers of the Capital Patrol Unit at Police Lines Headquarters. According to Islamabad Capital Police, the event was attended by DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, SSP Security Operations Salman Zafar, and other senior police officers.
IGP Rizvi instructed the officers to maintain discipline, treat the public courteously, conduct effective patrolling, and ensure prompt responses to emergency calls. He stressed the importance of vigilance in monitoring suspicious activities and individuals. Rizvi highlighted the fundamental responsibilities of the police, including maintaining law and order in the federal capital, protecting lives and property, enforcing the law effectively, and preventing crime.
Rizvi also urged the officers to enhance the patrolling system to improve crime prevention and provide a safer environment for the public. He emphasized that modern policing, timely response, and a public-friendly approach are among the top priorities for the Islamabad Police.
Accompanied by SSP SWAT Force Major Kaleem Ullah Khattak, IGP Rizvi conducted a review of the SWAT Force’s operational capabilities, preparedness, and training standards. He directed the force to be equipped with modern resources to strengthen its rapid response capacity and effectively manage emergency situations. Rizvi reaffirmed the commitment of the Islamabad Police to remain prepared to address challenges and ensure the safety of citizens.
