IG Punjab Usman Anwar Prioritizes Welfare of Police Families in Lahore Meeting

Lahore: In a focused initiative to address the welfare of police personnel and their families, Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, held a comprehensive meeting at the Central Police Office. The gathering aimed at resolving grievances and ensuring the well-being of officers’ families, with immediate actions directed on various applications.

According to Punjab Police, Dr. Anwar actively engaged with police employees and their families, responding to their requests on the spot and emphasizing the importance of supervisory officers in providing timely relief. He reiterated the need for upper management to maintain close contact with subordinate officers to address their concerns promptly, allowing them to dedicate themselves fully to their duties.

Specific directives were issued during the meeting, including instructions to the AIG Admin to facilitate the employment of a deceased constable’s son as a junior clerk based on a family claim. Similar actions were recommended for other police family members across Punjab, including those from Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, and Pakpattan, reflecting a structured approach to family welfare within the police force.

Dr. Anwar also responded to a citizen’s request, directing the DIG Intelligence Special Branch to conduct an inquiry and resolve the issue as reported. This meeting underscored a strong commitment by the Punjab police leadership to enhance the operational environment for police officers by stabilizing their home fronts through supportive measures.
