LAHORE: Inspector General of Police Punjab, Abdul Kareem, has commended the police force across the province for their effective security arrangements during the Martyrdom Day of Hazrat Ali (AS). The IG highlighted the contributions of various police units, including the Lahore Police, in ensuring that the day was observed peacefully and securely.

According to Punjab Police, IG Punjab Abdul Kareem praised the professional capabilities of officers and personnel who were on security duty, noting their successful coordination with the Executive and Traffic Police, Special Branch, and Counter Terrorism Department (CTD). The cooperation of district administrations, the Safe Cities Authority, security agencies, and media was also acknowledged for their roles in maintaining peace.

The IG expressed gratitude towards religious scholars and organizers of religious events for fostering inter-sect harmony and collaborating with law enforcement. He emphasized the ongoing commitment of the police to protect public safety and property with dedication and professionalism.
