Lahore: The Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, emphasized the importance of addressing police employees’ personal and professional issues during a recent meeting at the Central Police Office. Dr. Anwar met with police employees and their families, listened to their concerns, and issued orders for immediate resolution of their requests.
According to Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar instructed all supervisory officers to ensure timely actions under personal supervision. He directed the DIG Establishment to provide relief based on merit for the promotion request of Sub-Inspector Shahid Mahmood. Furthermore, he tasked the DIG Welfare with addressing the request of Investigation Branch Sub-Inspector Faheem Akhtar without delay and assisting ASI Muhammad Javed with support for his son’s cancer treatment.
Additionally, IG Punjab instructed the AIG Admin to provide relief for the recruitment request of the son of Inspector Muzaffar Hussain’s widow under the family claim and directed the DIG Establishment to consider the promotion request of Sub-Inspector Asif Raza. Dr. Anwar highlighted the necessity of immediate action on all requests to provide every possible relief to employees and their families, reaffirming that the welfare of police personnel is a primary objective and prompt measures should be taken to resolve their issues.
