Lahore, July 18, 2023 (PPI-OT): Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has issued instructions to intensify police relief activities in the flood affected areas. IG Punjab said that police teams are actively participating in relief activities including shifting citizens to safe places, RPOs, DPOs should continue to monitor the relief work in the flood affected areas. Dr. Usman Anwar added that the police force is ensuring close coordination with the district government and other institutions in the relief activities, the patrolling of the police relief teams in the villages and settlements along the river should be continued regularly.

IG Punjab. He said that preparations of the Punjab Police for setting up relief camps in the districts affected by severe floods are complete and the protection of life and property of the citizens who are at risk of floods will be ensured in any case. Dr. Usman Anwar directed that the patrolling process should be continued at the river check posts in the areas where there is a risk of flooding.
