Lahore, July 16, 2023 (PPI-OT): On the instructions of Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, intensive measures are being taken for the treatment and early rehabilitation of injured and wounded personnel and in this regard, 52 lakh rupees have been given to 25 officers and personnel for medical expenses. IG Punjab issued orders to release funds on the cases sent by the welfare committee, according to the details, DPO Mianwali Matiullah Khan was given Rs. 05 lakh rupees were given. Injured constable Nasrullah was given Rs. Injured ASI Mazhar Iqbal was given 2.5 lakhs, 07 personnel were given 02 lakhs and 11 personnel were given 01 lakhs each.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar while ordering all possible measures for the treatment and rehabilitation of officers and personnel injured during duty said that no officer or personnel injured during duty will be left alone. Dr. Usman Anwar further said that the RPOs, DPOs should send the medical aid cases of the subordinate staff to the Central Police Office with complete documents.
On the direction of IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, a meeting of the Vibration Session Award Committee was held in the Welfare Branch, detailed consideration was given to 27 applications sent for medical grants from different districts. After reviewing all the documents, the committee approved the release of 52 lakh rupees for 25 officers and personnel. G Establishment One Dr. Inam Waheed Khan and DIG Headquarters Humayun Bashir Tarar attended the meeting as members.
In addition, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, taking another good step, has bought houses worth Rs. RPO Multan had sent the cases to the Central Police Office to provide houses to the families of 02 martyred personnel. On the instructions of IG Punjab, the families of both the martyrs were ensured to be provided with houses according to their will and choice. The heirs of Shaheed Driver Constable Shahzad Saleem were bought a house worth 13 and a half million in Gulzar Ibrahim Town of Khanewal. The family of Shaheed Constable Muhammad Waqas Azim was bought a house worth 13 and a half million in Paradise City in Jhang. Additional IG Welfare Mohammad Riaz Nazir Gada has sent the cases sent by RPO Multan to IG Punjab for final approval.
Dr. Usman Anwar has ordered to continue the priority measures for the best welfare of the martyrs’ families. That all possible steps should be taken to solve all the problems of the families of martyrs including education, health, employment. IG Punjab further said that all DPOs should keep in touch with the martyrs of their districts and should not be left alone at any point.
