ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi has officially inaugurated the development projects of the Special Branch, marking a significant step in modernizing the division’s operational capabilities. During the inauguration, he conducted an inspection of the newly completed facilities and toured various sections of the Special Branch.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Special Branch, Muhammad Sarfraz Virk, provided a comprehensive briefing to IGP Rizvi. The briefing highlighted the scope of the projects, their performance, and their anticipated impact on the security infrastructure. IGP Rizvi expressed satisfaction with the quality and timely completion of the development projects and commended the officers involved for their diligent efforts.

He emphasized the importance of accelerating efforts to further enhance the Special Branch’s performance, stating that modern facilities are being introduced and that boosting the capacity of the Islamabad Police is a top priority. The upgrades include a state-of-the-art Central Command Center, featuring an Operations Room and an Intelligence Fusion Cell, along with a new conference room and mess dining room.

In addition to these new facilities, existing amenities such as the mosque, residential barracks, and various offices have been renovated. IGP Rizvi reiterated his commitment to leveraging modern infrastructure and technology to enhance the professional capabilities of the police, aiming to ensure improved security for the citizens of Islamabad.
