Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman hosted a grand reception at Lahore Fort to honor the six international teams participating in the ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifier. The event, held in Lahore, saw cricketers from Pakistan, Bangladesh, West Indies, Ireland, Scotland, and Thailand receive a warm welcome with traditional hospitality.

Women cricketers were treated like royal guests, greeted by ceremonial guards and attendants dressed in Mughal-era attire. The reception, a showcase of Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage, was held at the iconic Alamgiri Gate, where PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi personally welcomed the players and officials. A commemorative group photo was taken to mark the occasion.

Naqvi expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “Lahore welcomes all the teams coming to Pakistan with a warm heart, and you are all our special guests.” He emphasized that Pakistan is a peaceful, safe, and cricket-loving country, hoping that the visitors’ stay in Lahore would be pleasant and memorable.

The foreign players and match officials were also given a cultural tour of Lahore’s heritage sites, including the Badshahi Mosque, Hazuri Bagh, Iqbal’s Mausoleum, and the Sheesh Mahal. The attendees expressed their gratitude to the PCB, describing the evening as “unforgettable.”
