Highlighting Kashmir Issue in Schools Is Urgent, Says Punjab Education Minister


Lahore: The Provincial Minister for Education Punjab, Rana Sikandar Hayat, has emphasized the importance of highlighting the Kashmir issue, particularly within educational settings. He stated that this effort is crucial for raising awareness among the younger generation.



According to a statement by Kashmir Media Service, Sikandar Hayat made these comments during a meeting with a delegation from the Kashmir Centre Lahore. He noted that, following special directives from Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, schools across the province observed Kashmir Solidarity Day.



The Education Minister explained that activities related to Kashmir are being incorporated into educational institutions, aligning with the Chief Minister’s instructions. He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to supporting Kashmiris through diplomatic and political means.



Inam Kashmiri, the In-charge of Kashmir Centre Lahore, expressed gratitude to the Punjab government and the education department for their efforts in observing Kashmir Solidarity Day. He remarked that these observances have positively impacted the morale of people in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
