Ottawa: High Commissioner Muhammad Saleem participated in an interactive session on September 23, 2026, with engineering professionals and alumni from Pakistan’s Universities of Engineering and Technology (UET) residing in Ottawa. The event saw participation from alumni of UET Lahore, Peshawar, and Taxila, with Hon. MP Aslam Rana, also an alumnus of UET Lahore, serving as the Chief Guest.
According to Press Information Department, the High Commissioner acknowledged the role of Pakistan-origin professionals in contributing to Canada’s socio-economic landscape. Discussions during the session focused on exploring opportunities to enhance collaboration between Pakistan and Canada in the engineering and other high-tech sectors.
