Karachi: Executive Director of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan, Dr. Zia Ul Haq, convened with Consul General of Oman, Engr. Sami Abdullah Al-Khanjari, at the Consulate General of the Sultanate of Oman to discuss strengthening educational collaborations between the two countries.
According to the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, the meeting included key figures such as HEC Advisor Dr. Muhammad Ali Nasir, HEC Commission Member Dr. Aurangzeb Khan, and the Vice Chancellor of Dewan University Karachi. The primary agenda was to establish a framework for institutional linkages between Pakistan’s and Oman’s higher education sectors.
Dr. Zia Ul Haq highlighted HEC’s dedication to enhancing bilateral cooperation with Oman, stating that the commission would offer comprehensive support to facilitate joint initiatives. He pointed out the longstanding relations between Pakistan and Oman as a basis for promoting academic excellence.
Engr. Sami Abdullah Al-Khanjari acknowledged HEC’s efforts in advancing higher education and expressed Oman’s interest in transforming these discussions into effective partnerships. The meeting concluded with an agreement to create a roadmap to ensure that the opportunities discussed result in significant academic achievements.
