Gwadar Official Seals Shop for Selling Substandard Sweets During Market Inspection

Gwadar: In a move to ensure the quality and safety of consumer goods, Assistant Commissioner Mahim Khan Gachki, following the directives of Deputy Commissioner Hamudul Rehman, conducted a surprise inspection of the main market in Pasni. The inspection targeted the adherence to pricing, quality, and cleanliness standards of essential daily items.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the inspection team led by Assistant Commissioner Gachki included Chief Officer Pasni Azad Bengalzai, Dafdar Levis Hussain Ibrahim, and the in-charge of the Public Complaints Cell. They examined various shops, hotels, and food vendors, focusing on vegetable, meat, and fast food stalls. The team’s primary goal was to verify that these establishments comply with the official price list and maintain acceptable quality standards.

During the market inspection, a sweet seller was discovered selling substandard products. Immediate action was taken against the seller; the shop was sealed, and the seller was arrested. Assistant Commissioner Gachki emphasized on the occasion that the authorities would take strict measures against anyone compromising public health. He urged traders to strictly maintain cleanliness and follow the official pricing guidelines.

Assistant Commissioner Gachki also appealed to the public to refrain from purchasing substandard items and to report any grievances to the relevant authorities. Following the market visit, he proceeded to Rakpasht Dispensary, where he assessed various sections and checked the attendance of the staff. He issued directives aimed at enhancing the delivery of health services and improving sanitation to better serve the community.
