Islamabad: The Green Pakistan Initiative (GPI) is transforming barren land into productive agricultural fields, creating jobs and fostering agricultural development. This initiative is providing essential guidance to farmers, helping to revitalize previously unused land.
According to Radio Pakistan, Asim Awan, the owner of Mehnat Kash Naujawan Farm, reported significant progress, with eighty percent of the barren land allocated to him now cultivated with wheat, chickpeas, and canola. The farm, during the crop season, employs around seven hundred to eight hundred laborers, positively impacting local employment and livelihoods.
Asim Awan emphasized that this success extends beyond his farm, representing a broader achievement for Pakistan. He expressed confidence that, with continued government support, no land in the country will remain barren, paving the way for enhanced agricultural productivity nationwide.
