Governor Sindh Reflects on National Unity and Sacrifice on Pakistan Day

Karachi, In his message marking Pakistan Day, Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesuri expressed reverence for the significance of March 23, recalling the day in 1940 when the Pakistan Resolution was passed, setting the Muslims of the subcontinent on the path to achieving an independent state under the visionary leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

According to Sindh Governor House, Governor Tesuri spoke about the intrinsic love and loyalty that individuals feel towards their country, a sentiment that is both natural and revered in Islam. He underscored the importance of nurturing a peaceful society where citizens can contribute positively to their country’s prosperity and security.

The Governor emphasized that national interests should always supersede personal gains and that societal peace must be maintained, calling for unity against any forces that threaten harmony. He urged the society to reject acts of cruelty and violence, stressing that peace disruptors should be viewed as detrimental to communal well-being.

On this Pakistan Day, Governor Tesuri called for a renewed pledge from citizens to be willing to make any sacrifice for the sanctity and protection of their God-given country. He also paid homage to the leaders of the Muslim League and to Quaid-e-Azam, whose efforts culminated in the historic Pakistan Resolution and ultimately led to the nation’s independence.
