Islamabad: The government is undertaking extensive road infrastructure projects covering over 300 kilometers, according to information presented to the Senate Standing Committee on Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives. The focus is on the Sukkur-Hyderabad (M-6) highway, a top priority project.

Two sections of the M-6 project will commence under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. The government is seeking investment for the remaining three sections, which require significant funding for their execution and completion.

The Senate committee was briefed on the efforts to attract investment for these crucial sections to ensure the project’s timely progression.
