Government Focuses on Enhancing Healthcare Facilities, Says Health Minister


Islamabad: Minister for National Health Services Mustafa Kamal announced efforts by the government to enhance healthcare facilities nationwide. In remarks at an event marking the upgrade of the Cardiac Center at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), the minister highlighted the importance of operationalizing primary health units to alleviate pressure on tertiary hospitals.



According to Radio Pakistan, Kamal noted that there are 28 Basic Health Units within the federal capital. He stressed the government’s commitment to fully activate these units to decrease the patient load on PIMS, aiming to improve overall healthcare accessibility and efficiency in the region.
