Government Expands Roshan Digital Account Scheme to Attract Foreign Investments

Islamabad: The government has announced plans to expand the Roshan Digital Account scheme to include foreign nationals and institutional investors, a move aimed at enhancing investment opportunities in Pakistan. The decision, directed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, was revealed by Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb.

According to Radio Pakistan, Finance Minister Aurangzeb stated that the expansion will allow foreign nationals, companies, and institutional investors to open Roshan Digital Accounts. These accounts will enable investors to engage in government securities and Naya Pakistan Certificates, which promise competitive rates of return. The Finance Minister underscored that this initiative is expected to bolster Pakistan’s appeal as an investment hub and contribute to the development of the country’s financial markets.

Aurangzeb also extended an invitation to global investors, encouraging them to explore the investment opportunities available in Pakistan and to participate in the nation’s economic progress.
