Islamabad, Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi reaffirmed the government’s commitment to providing foolproof security for Chinese nationals in Pakistan. During a meeting with Chinese Consul General Zhao Shiren in Lahore, he emphasized that the safety of Chinese nationals is a top priority and responsibility of the government.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Mohsin Naqvi briefed the Chinese Consul General on the measures being taken to enhance security for Chinese nationals. The two also discussed bilateral cooperation between China and Pakistan in various sectors, emphasizing the importance of maintaining strong ties between the two countries.
Earlier, presiding over a meeting in Islamabad, the Interior Minister directed the establishment of a special protection force for the security of foreign nationals in the federal capital. He instructed officials to pay special attention to the security of key offices and important locations, including the red zone in Islamabad.
The Minister’s directive and discussions with the Chinese Consul General highlight the ongoing efforts to ensure the safety and security of foreign nationals, particularly those from China, given the close cooperation between the two countries in various domains.
