Islamabad: A six-member delegation from the Pakistan Goods Transport Alliance met with Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry, expressing gratitude for his assistance in addressing their parking concerns.
According to Press Information Department, the delegation, led by alliance president Malik Shahzad Awan and including members Nisar Hussain Jafri, Bakhtawar Khan Wazir, and Umar Farooq, convened with the minister at his office in Islamabad. Junaid Chaudhry reiterated his commitment from a previous meeting with the association and informed the delegation that 17 acres of land designated for a parking facility remains available.
The minister also addressed the issue of axle-load management, urging the association to coordinate with port representatives to develop a mutually acceptable solution.
