Lahore: Chairman Senate Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani emphasized the importance of aligning education with modern technology to secure a sustainable future for Pakistan during a speech at the University of Lahore’s graduation ceremony. Addressing the graduates, he underscored the role of research and innovation in education as foundational elements for the nation’s progress.

According to Radio Pakistan, Gillani noted that the University of Lahore has attained a prominent status among higher education institutions in the country. He encouraged the graduates to maintain curiosity, resilience, and openness to new ideas as they advance in their careers. Highlighting government initiatives such as the Prime Minister’s Entrepreneurship Challenge Programme, internship schemes, and increased funding for universities in underdeveloped areas, Gillani outlined efforts to create new opportunities for young Pakistanis.

Concluding the ceremony, Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani presented medals and certificates to students who demonstrated exceptional academic performance.
