Gilani Calls for Strengthened Healthcare Systems on World Health Day


Islamabad: Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani highlighted the significance of investing in resilient and inclusive healthcare systems during World Health Day, emphasizing the role of healthcare in national development and social stability. He underscored the necessity of accessible and quality healthcare to empower communities and drive sustainable economic growth.



According to Senate of Pakistan, Gilani, who serves as Chairman Senate, emphasized the importance of enhanced coordination among federal and provincial stakeholders, advocating for increased resource allocation and innovative approaches to improve service delivery, especially in underserved and rural regions. He also stressed the need for preventive healthcare, urging citizens to adopt healthier lifestyles and prioritize early diagnosis.



Gilani reaffirmed the Senate’s commitment to providing legislative and policy support for healthcare improvement initiatives and called for collective efforts from all societal segments to build a healthier and more resilient Pakistan. On World Health Day, he emphasized the shared responsibility in ensuring equitable healthcare access for all citizens.
