Islamabad, In a key engagement aimed at deepening economic and trade relations, the Ambassador of Germany to Pakistan, H.E. Mr. Alfred Grannas, met with Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Mr. Muhammad Aurangzeb. The meeting centered on discussions to enhance mutual cooperation and bolster the long-standing relationship between Pakistan and Germany.
According to Press Information Department, the discussions between Mr. Aurangzeb and Ambassador Grannas were fruitful, focusing on strengthening bilateral ties and supporting Pakistan’s economic growth through various initiatives. The Federal Minister highlighted the successful conclusion of the second International Monetary Fund (IMF) review under the Standby Arrangement (SBA), emphasizing Pakistan’s dedication to implementing sound fiscal policies and structural reforms to boost economic stability and attract foreign investment.
Ambassador Grannas commended Pakistan’s efforts toward economic reform and reassured Germany’s support for the nation’s development projects. He emphasized the importance of collaborative ventures in different sectors, aiming to enhance the economic partnership between the two countries. Furthermore, Mr. Aurangzeb acknowledged Germany’s role as a vital trading partner within the European Union, expressing a desire to further expand bilateral trade relations.
