Gabd Border Terminal Opens to Enhance Pakistan’s Trade with Central Asia

Gwadar: The Gabd Border Terminal has been made operational by the National Logistics Corporation (NLC) to facilitate international road transport, significantly boosting Pakistan’s trade connections with Central Asia through Iran. This development is expected to strengthen regional trade ties and offer a more efficient trade route.

According to Radio Pakistan, the inauguration of the terminal was marked by the priority handling and clearance of meat containers sent from Karachi to Tashkent. The new route through Iran provides a shorter and safer alternative to the traditional route via Afghanistan, promising a modern infrastructure for trade. This strategic move is anticipated to enhance Pakistan’s economic linkage with Central Asia, opening new avenues for trade and commerce.
