Four Members of Notorious Snatcher Gang Arrested in Islamabad


Islamabad: Four members of a notorious snatcher gang were arrested by the Islamabad Police’s Tarnol police station team, marking a significant achievement in the city’s ongoing efforts to curb street crime. The police recovered stolen cash, mobile phones, and mobile accessories from the suspects, who were already wanted in connection with numerous snatching incidents.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, the arrests are part of a broader crackdown initiated by the Islamabad Police under the directives of DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq. This large-scale operation aims to apprehend individuals involved in robberies, street crimes, and other serious offenses throughout the federal capital. The ongoing operations have reportedly led to a notable decrease in serious criminal activities.



DIG Islamabad has instructed all officers to persist in operations against individuals who deprive citizens of their valuables. The police have also urged residents to support these efforts by reporting any suspicious activities or objects to local police stations or via the Pucar-15 emergency helpline.
