Islamabad: The Forum of Information Group Secretaries has announced the passing of its esteemed Chair, Khawaja Ejaz Sarwar, a pillar of the Information Group who joined in 1969 and rose to its highest ranks. Mr. Sarwar, known for his significant contributions to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, served as Federal Secretary Information and Broadcasting and later as Federal Secretary for Population Welfare.
Throughout his career, Mr. Sarwar was recognized for his dedication to public service. His legacy is marked by his intellectual prowess and compassionate nature. Colleagues respected his integrity and were inspired by his commitment to the values of the service.
The Forum highlighted his ability to uphold the dignity and professionalism of the Information Group during challenging times. His death is seen not only as a loss to his family but also to the wider Information Group community and numerous friends.
Mr. Sarwar is survived by his wife, son, daughter, grandchildren, and many colleagues. His funeral prayers will take place on Sunday, April 6, after Zohar prayers at Markazi Jamia Masjid, Sangam Market, I-8/3, Islamabad. The Forum has extended condolences to his family and prays for his eternal peace.
