Former Senator Mushtaq Ahmad Released from Israeli Custody


ISLAMABAD: Former Senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan has been released from Israeli custody, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar announced. Khan was detained by Israeli forces along with other humanitarian workers aboard the Global Sumud Flotilla.



According to Radio Pakistan, Deputy Prime Minister Dar expressed appreciation for the Hellenic authorities who assisted Khan in Crete, Greece. He also thanked Turkiye’s leadership and government for facilitating Khan’s return to Istanbul, enabling his onward journey to Pakistan.



Dar reiterated Pakistan’s condemnation of the detention of humanitarian workers and the obstruction of aid intended for Gaza. He affirmed Pakistan’s ongoing support for the Palestinian people.
