First Lady Condemns Acid Attack in Quetta, Seeks Award for Brave Ward Boy


Islamabad: First Lady Bibi Aseefa Bhutto Zardari has condemned the acid attack on Dr. Mahnoor Nasir at Civil Hospital Quetta, urging authorities to ensure such incidents are prevented in the future.



According to Press Information Department, the First Lady expressed her sorrow and highlighted the importance of addressing violence against women with strict legal measures. She emphasized the need for swift recovery for both Dr. Mahnoor and Abdul Razaq Tarakai, the ward boy who was injured while protecting her during the attack.



She also urged local authorities to provide optimal medical care to both victims. In recognition of Abdul Razaq Tarakai’s bravery, she requested the President of Pakistan to award him a high civil honor. The First Lady noted his actions as exemplary, underscoring their significance as a model of humanity.
