Islamabad: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to implementing technology-driven tax reforms, aiming to enhance transparency and streamline procedures.
According to Radio Pakistan, Aurangzeb discussed these initiatives during a meeting with the delegation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP). He emphasized the critical role of institutional modernization, process simplification, and increased automation in reducing unnecessary human intervention and facilitating taxpayer processes. The Finance Minister also highlighted the operationalization of the Tax Policy Office under the Finance Division as a significant institutional reform. This initiative aims to bolster policy formulation and improve coordination between tax policy and administration.
