Islamabad: Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, met with the executive committee members of P@sha (Pakistan IT Industry Association), led by Chairman Muhammad Zohaib Khan, to discuss the future of Pakistan’s burgeoning IT sector.
According to Ministry of Finance announcement issued on 01 July 2024, during the meeting, P@sha’s executive committee presented ongoing projects and highlighted the need for enhanced government backing to propel further growth in the IT industry. Senator Aurangzeb recognized the pivotal role of P@sha in the sector and assured the organization of the government’s continued support.
The discussions underscored the government’s recognition of IT as a critical driver of economic progress and innovation in Pakistan. The Minister reiterated the commitment to fostering a supportive environment for the industry, aiming to overcome challenges and capitalize on opportunities to boost national development.
The meeting concluded with a mutual agreement to maintain a collaborative approach to address the IT sector’s needs and to ensure its continued expansion and contribution to Pakistan’s economy.
