Islamabad: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb announced plans to continue the country’s upward economic trajectory, focusing on sustainable growth. His statements were shared in a video message on Tuesday following a positive rating from Fitch.
Aurangzeb expressed satisfaction with Fitch’s latest assessment, highlighting it as a sign of progress. He emphasized the importance of maintaining this momentum to ensure long-term economic stability, steering clear of the traditional boom and bust cycles.
The minister also pointed to the record number of remittances recorded last month as evidence of the economy’s strengthening. He projected that remittances would reach thirty-eight billion dollars this year, underscoring the crucial role they play in the nation’s economic framework.
