HONG KONG: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has pledged Pakistan’s commitment to maintaining a stable policy framework to empower the private sector in driving the nation towards economic progress. Speaking at the Asian Financial Forum 2025, he emphasized the role of innovation in shaping future economies, particularly within Asia.
According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Minister highlighted the transformative potential of innovation, urging the adoption of new approaches, technologies, and business models. This, he noted, would unlock growth opportunities, enhance competitiveness, and address global economic challenges.
During the plenary session titled “Innovation: The Solution to Unlock the Next Growth Engines,” Aurangzeb discussed the importance of learning from Hong Kong’s financial sector. He pointed to the city’s use of AI and blockchain technology as models for Pakistan.
The Minister also outlined Pakistan’s focus on fostering innovation and entrepreneurship to achieve sustainable development. He reiterated the government’s role in creating an environment conducive to economic progress and societal needs.
