RAWALPINDI: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defense Forces of Pakistan, has committed to deepening defense collaboration with the Lebanese Armed Forces. This pledge was made during a meeting with General Rodolphe Haykal, the Commander-in-Chief of the Lebanese Armed Forces, held in Rawalpindi.

According to Radio Pakistan, Field Marshal Asim Munir emphasized the significance of Pakistan’s longstanding and cordial relations with Lebanon. In response, General Haykal recognized the professionalism and operational excellence of the Pakistan Armed Forces, highlighting their role in promoting regional peace, stability, and their contributions to international peacekeeping efforts.

The meeting provided an opportunity for the two military leaders to exchange views on issues of mutual interest, including the evolving regional security environment and defense cooperation. Discussions were centered on strengthening professional interactions, enhancing training cooperation, and building institutional linkages between the armed forces of both nations.
