Tehran: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, along with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, has concluded a three-day official visit to Iran aimed at enhancing regional peace and security. The visit included high-level meetings with key Iranian officials focused on fostering dialogue and cooperation.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Field Marshal met with Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, President of Iran, and held separate discussions with Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of the National Assembly, Abbas Araghchi, Foreign Minister, and Major General Ali Abdollahi, Commander of Khatam ul Anbiya Headquarters. The meetings centered on the evolving regional security environment, emphasizing diplomatic engagement and collaborative measures to promote enduring peace and stability.
During the visit, Field Marshal Munir highlighted the importance of dialogue, de-escalation, and the peaceful resolution of outstanding issues. He conveyed the regards and best wishes from the President, the Prime Minister, and the people of Pakistan to the Iranian leadership, while reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with Iran.
