Rawalpindi: The Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces of Pakistan, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening ties with the Maldives in a meeting held with Abdul Raheem Abdullah, Speaker of the People’s Majlis of the Maldives, in Rawalpindi. The discussions centered on regional security and bilateral cooperation.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Field Marshal emphasized the significance of Pakistan’s relations with the Maldives, highlighting a shared commitment to enhancing these ties for mutual benefit. Abdullah acknowledged Pakistan’s role in fostering regional peace and stability and conveyed a desire to expand bilateral engagement in areas of mutual interest.
