Islamabad: The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has expressed concerns over a recent news report that misrepresented data related to the Central Superior Services (CSS) examination. The FPSC highlighted inaccuracies in the report, specifically regarding the number of candidates from the years 2022 and 2025, and emphasized the need for accurate reporting.

According to Press Information Department, the news report failed to consider important elements such as the number of applicants for the screening tests (MPT) for CSS, which attracted a significant number of candidates. Additionally, the report overlooked the Special CSS-2023 initiative, which resulted in the allocation of 141 aspirants from minorities, females, and underprivileged areas as part of a federal government measure, impacting subsequent years.

The FPSC reiterated that joining the Civil Service through the CSS examination remains a significant aspiration for many young individuals in Pakistan, as reflected in the data. The commission assured its support and cooperation for the publication of reports based on accurate data and due diligence in the future.
