Sahiwal: Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety, Syed Imran Ahmed Shah, recently toured two prominent hospitals in Sahiwal to evaluate the quality of medical care and directly engage with patients. His visit to Sahiwal Teaching Hospital and Haji Abdul Qayyum District Headquarters Hospital was part of an initiative to address healthcare challenges and ensure essential medicines are available.
During the visit, the Federal Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to providing free quality healthcare to the underprivileged. He stated that no shortage of resources would be allowed to hinder patient care and urged healthcare staff to regard their roles as spiritual and social responsibilities.
Accompanied by local medical and administrative officials, Syed Imran Ahmed Shah toured various wards, interacted with patients, and distributed Eid gifts. He highlighted the need for collective efforts to transform these hospitals into model healthcare facilities and assured that staffing and other bottlenecks would be addressed promptly.
The Minister also highlighted the role of Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) in extending medical support nationwide, mentioning that thousands receive aid annually. He emphasized that the Ministry and PBM are coordinating efforts to ensure no Pakistani is deprived of essential healthcare services.
