Islamabad: Federal Minister for Railways, Hanif Abbasi, has declared a 20% reduction in train fares for the Eid ul Fitr 2025 holiday, as per directives from Prime Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif. This initiative will apply to all mail, express, passenger, and intercity trains across various classes for the first three days of Eid.
Minister Abbasi stated that the decision aims to provide relief to the public, enabling them to celebrate Eid with their families. The fare reduction is intended to enhance the travel experience for passengers by making it more affordable during the festive period.
The railway minister assured that despite the fare concession, safety protocols and service quality will remain unchanged. The railway authorities are set to implement necessary measures to facilitate passengers in availing of this discount.
