Islamabad, Engr Amir Muqam, the Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan and States and Frontier Regions, has strongly criticized the May 9 riots, labeling them as a deliberate conspiracy against the country.

According to Press Information Department, Minister Muqam expressed deep regret over the attacks carried out on May 9, which targeted significant national symbols and infrastructure, including Jinnah House, military installations, and Radio Pakistan Peshawar. He denounced the destruction of the Colonel Sher Khan statue and the Chagi mountains model, which commemorates Pakistan’s nuclear tests.

He affirmed that such acts of vandalism, which he attributed to elements working against Pakistan, would not go unpunished.
