Federal Insurance Ombudsman Reports Resolving Over 5,800 Complaints in 2024


Islamabad: Federal Insurance Ombudsman Mumtaz Ali Shah met with President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr to present the institution’s annual report for 2024. The report highlights the Ombudsman’s efforts in addressing grievances related to maladministration and fraudulent practices in the insurance sector.



The annual report reveals that the Federal Insurance Ombudsman successfully resolved 5,827 complaints throughout 2024. This resolution process provided financial relief amounting to Rs 2.32 billion to policyholders.



During the meeting, President Zardari emphasized the importance of delivering speedy justice to insurance policyholders, particularly those from poor and low-income backgrounds. The President’s remarks underscore a commitment to safeguarding the rights and interests of vulnerable segments within the insurance sector.



The Federal Insurance Ombudsman continues to play a crucial role in rectifying issues faced by policyholders, ensuring transparency and accountability within the insurance industry.
