Federal Housing Minister Pledges Support for Football Development in Meeting with PFF President

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Housing & Works, Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada, met with Syed Mohsen Gilani, President of the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), to discuss the progress and revival of football in Pakistan. According to Press Information Department, the meeting underscored the Government’s commitment to enhancing sports development, particularly focusing on football.

During the discussion, Gilani expressed gratitude for the Minister’s support and outlined recent developments in Pakistan’s football landscape. He highlighted initiatives aimed at strengthening grassroots football and expanding opportunities for young athletes. Furthermore, Gilani briefed the Minister on the advancement of the FIFA Arena Mini Pitch Project at Danish School Hasilpur, a project that is expected to provide top-tier football facilities in South Punjab.

Minister Pirzada commended the PFF’s efforts to rejuvenate football and nurture young talent, emphasizing the immense potential of Pakistani youth in sports. Reflecting on his own experiences as a sportsman, he reiterated the significance of sports in fostering disciplined and confident citizens. The Minister assured full governmental support for future football development initiatives and youth engagement, recognizing the FIFA Arena project as a pivotal step in promoting grassroots football.

In a gesture of appreciation, Gilani presented a commemorative souvenir to the Federal Minister at the conclusion of their meeting.
