Federal Government Unveils 2025-26 Development Program with Focus on Infrastructure and Economy

Islamabad: The Federal Government has announced the Ministry and Division-wise summary of the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for 2025-26, featuring a substantial federal development allocation exceeding 837 billion rupees. The program is designed to accelerate infrastructure growth, enhance public services, and bolster the national economy.

According to Radio Pakistan, the total authorized amount for the PSDP is 833.34 billion rupees, with development expenditures from July to April already amounting to approximately 469.85 billion. The PSDP 2025-26 prioritizes sectors such as water resources, highways, education, energy infrastructure, and regional development initiatives.

Data highlights the Water Resources Division as a key player in the federal development portfolio, receiving an allocation of 106.64 billion rupees. Expenditures in this sector during the July-April period were reported at 66.91 billion rupees.
